Blocked !!
hey all ,
Today i woke up and i was in the mood of reading other blogs .. it bothered me that i couldnt view the pictures they were posting .. i thought it may be my connection it is very slow so the picture loading time was time-out every time ,,
so i tried one picture by taking its url ( i.e http:// ) and guess what i found !!
our biggest source of uploading pictures is blocked by Oman Tel !!!!!
which is photo.blogger.com the same engine that is used by Hello ( picasa )
yes there are millions of pictures uploading site in the net !! but that one was so speciall gives you alot of options !!
plus we will not enjoy the reading of others blogs with no pictures : (((

i thought about sending an e-mail to them .. i dont know if they do actally read the e-mails .. i really doubt it ..
am really sad about that cause am really agaisnt using proxy for surfing on the net .. but i think oman tel leave you really with few other choices other than proxies ..

I wnat to see the pictures, now it itches me!
yeah i know how you feel about it :(((((({ and i really feel like a thief backdooring with a proxy ... :(( from deepest part of my heart .. Oman Tel i hate you ..
Hmm this happened today? weird I haven't noticed. I mean all the pics were showing with me.. oh wait, today I wanted to log in to msn but for some reason I could not.. hmmm
Namika , i dotn know but i still have the problem and i was using diffrent computers throught out the weekend and they were always blocking the photo.blogger.com site ... it just stopped showing to us .. and when you try to enlarge the pic the disclaimar of omantel that this is not unilaterlar decsion ect ect all the crap ..

So basically what you are saying is pictures uploaded into , lets say my blog site by hello picasa cannot be viewed by you guys because it is blocked by Omantel ?

Very strange that they would block the photos and not the rest of the blogger sites.
UAE just blocked Flickr.com due to the "nudity" that was available there and now this.

we can view the pictures uploaded by flikr over here ..
and yes iti s strange to block just the sub domain of blogger.com ( only photo ) but not the others ..

Thanks about Kuwaitblogs, just doing what I can for the community, but is really the Kuwait bloggers that deserve the credit for posting on a regular basis.
My friend says in UAE they also ban photos, but unblocked Flickr. Does Oman internet come from UAE that could be a reason for it.
Libellula , hi :) welcome to my blog , i wrote a letter but till now there is not response .. i have e-mailed them before regarding another site which contain pure medical information and many many pictures for alot of deformities that would help us makign our presentations ..but no reply from them ,, :(( any way thank you for visiting my blog :)

wooohoooooooooooooooo we can see the pictures again !!! look like they do read the e-mails after all :))))))))))))))))))0 really happy for that , that would make surfing much easier ..

i sent them e-mail from 5 diffrent accounts heheeh
r they playing or what !! they block the site again !!!!!!!
